it hurts...but don't pee on it!

Old wives tales...are they true or not?
Common sense tells us the answer but we still perpetuate the myths...

Thought the original saying was Feed a cold to starve a fever

Quite right itsme, I can just about remember my venerable great granny when I was just a toddler saying just that.
She died just after from the effects of a heavy cold, perhaps she wasn't eating enough.
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

I've always known it to be 'Feed a cold, starve a fever'.
I've always thought the best advice for both is drink plenty and eat little but more often and especially when you feel like it.
