iPlayer comes to the telly!

Sort of....  the Wii anyway.

Ha yeah  I just read that.  Have you used the Wii much online?  I've had a dabble with 'Everybody Votes' before - quite good fun that, for a couple of goes anyway.  I can imagine iPlayer getting a whole load of people setting up those wifi connections for the first time.

It was suggested on BBC News this morning that the internet is in danger of meltdown due to the use of BBC iPlayer.
There are of course a number of news items relating to iPlayer including the BBC v ISP dispute.

When iPlayer first came out I tried it on the Wii thinking it just might work.  Was disappointed that it didn't.  My parents have done some surfing on the Wii and I can really see them using it to catch up on missed TV shows if iPlayer is easily avaialble and viewable on the telly rather than the PC.
