Re: iPhone Update

The 3GS is really quick compared to the 3G, I was with some people last week that had one and it is impressive.
@strat - why so eager, what is it going to that you really need compared to 2.2.1?

Re: iPhone Update

You can of course install iTunes 8.2 now in preparation if you have not already done so.

Re: iPhone Update

Cut and paste for starters or how about voice dialling hands free. Yes I know there are apps but I haven't found a good one yet.
I've only had it a few weeks and tried to get the company to hold off the upgrade until the new phone came out but they said there wasn't one.

Re: iPhone Update

I don't think the company would appreciate me flogging their property StickyMick but thanks for the suggestion. Smiley

Re: iPhone Update

Ahhh, I see. So it's not actually yours then. I always nip in the O2 shop to have a play in their "iPhone theme park", but I'm just not tempted.

It will be when the next upgrade happens but that could be 12 months away. Sad

Yep, the cut and paste feature is really good. I could be wrong but I think the voice dialing only works on the 3GS. It does not work on my 3G at the moment.
One thing you will like is 'scrubbing', when listening to music or watching video, you can get fast forward and rewind to happen at different speeds by moving your finger down while also to the left or right ... you'll know what I mean when you try it.

Re: iPhone Update

Indeed, I can confirm that voice command only works on the 3GS. I haven't a clue why though...
