free programs

I seem to recall that somewhere on the plusnet site there is a list of links to free programs, ie virus checkers, firewalls, uninstallers. Can someone point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Try http://www.ubuntu.com/
It's very comprehensive.

Re: free programs

Anyone know of a free Av for a Windows Mobile PDA phone. I don't fancy renewing my subscription for F-Secure
Thanks in advance.

Re: free programs

Do you really want AV software running on your PDA? Undecided Are there actually any viruses around that can harm a WM device?

Re: free programs

A few years ago my HDD went pear-shaped and my Windows installation CD went AWOL.
Bought a new HDD, but couldn't afford Windows so taught myself Linux. Best decision ever made. I've never needed to pay for any software since.!

Re: free programs
