Re: dont connect a PS keyboard to a PC

I think the difference is that the PS keyboard was wired not wireless

Re: dont connect a PS keyboard to a PC

just seen another one in a TV/Sat mag, OFCOM are concerned that 2.4GHz analogue video senders to send the TV signal to another room are screwing up WiFi PC links

Re: dont connect a PS keyboard to a PC

Seems to be some kind of misunderstanding here. Grin
The reference to the PS/2 is not a Sony(?) play-station.
It's a reference to the IBM PC that came out in the late 1980's - the PS/2 with a wired connector for the keyboard.
There was also a PS/1 - I bought one in the mid-nineties Smiley
You probably have a PS/2 connector if your PC is a couple of years old (or more)...

Agree with P_P - ExAxisOfAllSorts is the first to mention a gaming console, and allegedly in an effort to remove some non-existent confuddlement.
Anyway, I preferred the Megadrive. Smiley

What's an analogue video sender - is it being phased out as TV gets switched over to digital? Smiley

Re: dont connect a PS keyboard to a PC

Not really - its generally a device for sending TV signals around one's home via the magic of invisible death* rays.
You plug the output from your [insert av device here] into one such box, 'the sender', and you plug the output from a similar device 'the receiver' into your chosen [insert viewing/recording device here].
Thusly the pictures that arrived at your house via invisible rays of dreadfulness* can once again be spat visibilitylessly around your home.
So you can watch invisible stuff in another room.
Cool hey?
*may not be deathly or dreadful, but may be either or both.
Foil hats are on special offer this week.

what are we going to do, that Russian Multi Millinare what has a party with Meddlesum  on a boat, is alledged to control the Aluminum output of Russia and also supplies the EU with foil.  He is said he is fed up with the UK and is stamping his feet and going home to outer mongolia.
No more foil caps?

Hehe, actually, reviewing my previous post, you might have a point Euge!
I'm harmless enough though - although I do notice a deterioration in the standard and comprehensibility of my posts since I quit modding.
Perhaps all work and little play made me into a grey person (like Mrrrrr Soffft from the softmint adverts after a wash with a dark sock...)
<end> insane rambling mode.
