does anyone know what these bugs are?

they are about 1 mm long and appeared to be giving live birth under a microscope,  lookk like a death watch beetle but that is over 1cm long, these are only 1mm

bottom view, the RH one head has small pincer jaws  the LH one was producing the babies

I'd guess something like common bed bugs, but the size is a bit wrong

I'm not an expert or anything but I recon they are woodworm beetles.
I had a few very similar in my house last year and researched them on the web. Not sure where they had been living though .....!    Sad              and not seen any since then, - yet !

there are groups on Flickr where you can post pictures of unknown insects, flowers, whatever, and someone'll tell you what they are

Re: does anyone know what these bugs are?

I will try and get some more tomorrow and a better look, I am fairly sure it was giving live birth, the woodworm lays eggs, but it does look like them,  thing is that there are about 20 to thirty we pick up by the front door every day,  dont think that wood worm larvae come out of the wood until about may

Re: does anyone know what these bugs are?

I'd go with flour beetles. They are too small for bed bugs or woodworm.

Re: does anyone know what these bugs are?

the thing I have to look for are the anthers, the confused has four clubs, the red flour has three, the woodworms are smooth.  sods law cant find any today Sad
