The one thing the link doesn't cover is those small plastic bags we use for holding loose fruit and in any case what is the difference between one where you put in the fruit yourself or where they are pre packed

Depends on how you define handles as they actually do even though you may not use them

I would imagine it is covered by this line, assuming unwrapped also means loose
“for unwrapped food for animal or human consumption - for example, chips, or food sold in containers not secure enough to prevent leakage during normal handling”

There was a discussion on LBC this morning and they had a long list of bags. It might have been the list in your link. Guess we will have to play it by ear Wink

One of the exceptions for charging for bags is at airports. Will the shop still require you to show a boarding card so they can reclaim vat on any bags that are supplied?  Cheesy
