The government has quietly delayed their new age verification rules until the end of 2018, which was set to be targeted at websites and “apps” that contain pornographic content. Broadband ISPs would also be required to block sites that fail to comply with the new rules.
This would have casued a masive headache for ISP,s and anyone wishing to use age verification with your credit card
samsung 850evo 250gig , WD black 2 TB . Asus Phoebus sound ,
16 gig Avexir ram 2400 , water cooling Corsair H100i gtx ,
Corsair 750HXI Psu , Phanteks Enthoo pro case .

I`m too old for age verification..... they would have to cut up slices of me and send them to a lab for dendro..... (whatever it`s called that they use on trees and bits of bone and wood etc).... ..
So when the new legislation comes into effect... I suppose I shall just have to stop watching porn and find something less exciting on the telly !

So will I need to verify my age just to look in my spam folder at all those women in various states of undress purporting to be from dating websites that claim I'm on?

Reading some of the comments from that linky has to make you wonder....
1. (from linky)
"I was wondering about this; as someone who’s paid for something, if the website gets blocked, am I entitled to compensation from somebody for paying for a service I can no longer access or… or what?"
2. (from linky)
"Perhaps the MPs are trying to figure out how to exempt their works PCs from the age verification.
You know, all in the name of research."
I don't know how they will make age verification work anyway, there's always a way round it, you make something idiot-proof and along comes a better idiot. As for my own age..I can verify that I am aged, (well..according to my birth certificate and that's hand scrawled on papyrus).
Growing old is inevitable...But growing up is optional.

If no driving licence, will a note from both grandparents do?

Verification fixation, it's not going to work. How can it?
Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not who somebody else is today

Yes, but does it bear the signature of the correct Pharaoh?
