 Or .. in english... when is an abbreviation not an abbreviation?

here is a classic example of why it is not a good idea to use abbreviations to try to shorten the time explaining something to someone....

ishouldcocoa asks the question......  "what are PN payments??? "

MisterW ( superuser) responds with..... "PN is short for PlusNet"

Ah well... !

There has to be a limit, but come on @shutter! When discussing payments to PlusNet what else would PN refer to?

I always thought it meant Pay Now when referring to a direct debit. 😎
