I was heading to Sheffield town centre today on the busy A61 going through the suburb of Woodseats which is usually a 3mph crawl. I flashed to let a bus out into the traffic stream and a young motorcyclist shot past me and cut in front of the bus, just missing it. 10 minutes later we cleared the Woodseats chaos and noticed, just before some road works, a car by the side of the road with a woman standing beside it. As we got closer we could see a young man crouched at the front of the car and he appearing to be polishing the front bumper. Then I saw the motorcycle, recognised it as the one that passed us earlier and guessed that his reckless riding had caused an accident with damage to the woman's car which he was attempting to put right. I hope this incident has taught him a lesson.
