You're approaching your usage allowance

You're approaching your usage allowance

Is this a record?
First (partial) month of using fibre...
5 days still to run

Re: You're approaching your usage allowance

This is something I've been wondering about.
Given the faster speeds of fibre, more data will be transferred. Yet I haven't seen any indication that +Net are going to increase the usage allowances to take account of this.
What, then, would be the point of having fibre if you can't take proper advantage of it?

I'm sure they do as I'm usually on the receiving end of the result of their advantage.
Can't wait until October when I know the new state of my finances and rethink fibre.

I've used 98GB of paid usage + 52GB unpaid... (so far).

Re: You're approaching your usage allowance

I remember not too long ago that I was on an ‘up to 2mb’ service with, I think, 2gb per month of which we only rarely used half of it. That’s gradually gone up to ‘up to 8mb’ with 10gb and now, on fibre, it’s 37mb and 40gb. My son downloaded an Xbox game on Saturday and I streamed the tennis for a while and with ‘normal’ wi-fi usage we used 6.4gb’s in the one day!!  It did make me think about the contrast from not so long ago when 1gb lasted a month
@strat…..Hope my son isn’t one of your opponents taking an unfair advantage with his bandwidth advantage  Wink
