Yet another remake...

Mark Wahlberg is to star as the 6 Billion Dollar Man (that's inflation for you).
Due for release in 2016.
The 6 Million Dollar Man was an iconic series in the 70's that spawned an offshoot, the Bionic Woman, and several films.
They remade The Bionic Woman (an ex-Eastender actress in the starring role) a few years back which was a disastrous load of twaddle.
I hope they do a better job with this.
Any thoughts?

Re: Yet another remake...

Pity they don't make a film along the lines of the TV series "Now and Again".
Even the pancreas of his bio engineered body cost 37 million. Inflation seems to have hit hard on body parts.
"The strength of Superman, the speed of Michael Jordan, and the grace of Fred Astaire."
"Now and Again" had humour and interaction with those of his previous life. Something that was missing in six million dollar man.

Just imagine if they remade On the Buses, it'd be a travesty... Shocked

That and I'm sure that an oyster card machine wouldn't make for many jokes... Grin
