Words to avoid

A list from the BBC News website of the words the UK Government said should be avoided in internal documents and websites:
agenda
advancing
collaborate
combating
countering
deliver (unless it is specific things like pizza or letters)
deploy (unless it is troops or computer software)
dialogue
driving (except in relation to vehicles or sheep)
empower
facilitate
focusing
foster (unless in relation to the care of children)
impact (as a verb)
incentivise
initiate
key (unless it unlocks something)
land (only as a verb)
leverage
liaise
overarching
progress (only as a verb)
promote (unless talking about an ad campaign)
reach out
robust
slimming down
streamline
strengthening (unless it relation to bridges)
synergies
tackling (unless in a sporting context)
transforming
utilise
working hard

I've added a couple in blue text.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Re: Words to avoid

The phrase "what is important to remember is" is commonly used in political circles to deflect an awkward question.

I hate 'escalate your problem'.  Why not just say, 'I'll get my manager'?
