Will my Openreach engineer arrive?

So, for a bit of fun, it's 11:00 and I am still waiting for an OR engineer to install my fibre, take your bets as to if he'll turn up today......

I've moved it to Chit Chat as you say it's a bit of fun Wink
I voted no but they will say they did and correctly describe your front door colour Tongue
I hope they do come though and you get sorted. Smiley

I'm being optimistic (and keeping my fingers crossed for you) so voted yes.

Re: Will my Openreach engineer arrive?

Then he'd also be able to describe the notice on my front door with the note to the BT engineer saying if your reading this and there is no "answer" then call this number as someone is IN the property.

Re: Will my Openreach engineer arrive?

I would not panic at all as mine came within 30 minutes of the 1 pm slot.

Re: Will my Openreach engineer arrive?

Voted 'not sure' as he may arrive at 1:30 like mine did (but he did a sterling job when he did arrive and phoned ahead to advise he was running late), fingers crossed.

Re: Will my Openreach engineer arrive?

Well it is looking less and less likey, no phone calls yet and no one at the door :/
I am guessing PN cannot try to track the engineer and give me an update.... can they?

Re: Will my Openreach engineer arrive?

This is one of the main reasons why I won't order fibre within the next 12 months even though it is currently available to me.
I am retired so waiting in for an appointment is not a problem, it's just that I don't take missed appointments lightly based on the 'do as you would have others do to you' principle.
If I make an appointment I keep it or explain in good time why I can't. I therefore expect others to do likewise.

Re: Will my Openreach engineer arrive?

The funny thing is, I had fibre at my old place and the install was perfect, I ordered it, got a date, he arrived, left an hour later with working fibre.

Re: Will my Openreach engineer arrive?

For goodness sakes !
Personally if I'd had as many issues with BTOR as you, I'd be looking at taking them to the small claims court to get back compensation for the time wasted staying in waiting for them. It only takes a few people to do this and word to get around before they may realise that taking the mickey isn't acceptable.

Re: Will my Openreach engineer arrive?

See, I was looking at that but as I am not technically a BTOR customer, wouldn't it have to be PN I requested compensation from as they're technically my supplier? I wouldn't want to take PN to court over this as they've not really done anything wrong.

However, I am more curious to who posted "Yes he will arrive" after I stated they're not coming  Cheesy Cheesy
