Will Donald Trump last a full term?

If I were a betting man I'd be sorely tempted to lay a bet that Trump won't last the four years. The fact that he's showing no sign of being less impetuous and considering carefully before making statements since he was elected makes me suspect he's going to do something so stupid that the Republican Party will turn totally against him and force him to resign.

Re: Will Donald Trump last a full term?

Either that, or America will have it`s first Dictator in charge....

He has sooo much money,.... and soooo many undercover/underhand people relying on him to keep them sweet that he has probably got more power and influence of his local party, than he has effective power in the white house... ( apart from being "commander - in - chief " of all US armed forces. )  which , in itself, is a recipe for Dictatorship, is it not  ? ?

I was just thinking the same after reading more of his tweets.

I hope it's not just wishful thinking on our part.

He is making enemies among the agencies, Í don't think anything could surprise me.

Seriously.... is it REALLY Donald J Trump, who is actually sending those "tweets" ? ? ?   surely you would think, that, being the "president elect".... he would have little time for such frivolity as "tweeting" on a "social network".. you would think he would be more "under pressure" to "get up to speed" on the art of governing the country, finding his way in the corridors of power etc etc..  so to speak..

Yes he does, after 7pm local time.

Prior to that he dictates to his team who do the typing for him.

I guess the CIA or FBI have ways of dealing with those who are considered a threat to the country.

At Trumps age you can get all sorts of life threatening conditions.

Re: Will Donald Trump last a full term?

Four years? Fingers crossed he'll not make four months.

Like Julius Caesar, the guy is for the chop by a conspiracy of back stabbing senators. Not literally of course, but it's easy enough to draw a comparison with history.

'Beware the Ides of March', that's all I can say.

It depends on what Putin wants to do with him.

Re: Will Donald Trump last a full term?

I reckon Trump's next step will be to clear out the politically partisan executives from the security services. It seems there's no real backing on the Russian prostitutes story. I'd imagine he'll be quite cross about the fake news. He is a bit of a bombast, but he does have the backing of the USA voters. The more the Establishment attempts to sabotage the voter's choice the more his support will grow.

Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Will his vice president be any different?  I don't know much about him.

That might be a good point - if it was true. He wasn't the voters' choice:

Donald Trump 62,979,879 45.95%
Hillary Clinton 65,844,954 48.04%

But that's not to say Hillary was the the choice either:

Third party and write-ins were the highest since 1996, accounting for over 8.2 million votes, 6.00% of valid votes, compared to 2.4 million and 1.85% in 2012.

Mike Pence. There is a joke going around the internet that this guy is Trumps insurance as if he took over, things would be a lot worse (apparently).
