Are you sure?

And Niixon said "I'm not a crook".

And we're all saying we have nothing to hide.

When someone makes a statement other people will often think the opposite applies.

Now if shutter said "I am a miserable git" We would have all immediately thought "Oh no he's not".

Wouldn't we.Smiley

Re: Wikileaks dropping the CIA in it again

There are some advantages to being spied on:  An old man emails his son Ahmed in Paris and says, "I wish you were closer as I'm getting old and find it hard to dig the garden myself nowadays."  Ahmed replies immediately saying, "Whatever you do, don't dig the garden for that is where I buried 'the object' ."  Within a few hours a large number of policemen arrive and start digging up the man's garden.  Finding nothing they apologise and leave.  That evening the man gets another email from his son:  "I'm sorry I couldn't dig the garden for you but I trust it has now been done."

I always thought that was part of the role you were expected to play when you got old, ' being a miserable old git' guess I will just have to stop being one.

I must admit to being more than an Old Git, I've never suffered fools and as a consequence I can sometimes come across as being; shall we say terse at times, but the thing is I love being a Git, I don't care what others think, I am who I am so others can take me or leave me.

There's no doubt that when you get older there's a tendency to grow out of saying something is fine and wonderful when it isn't.

(mook yes I did)

No online ingredients lists? What are they trying to hide?? Are they putting mind-altering chemicals into them?!? Funny

Would directly link to Dicksons' sausages, but their site's being updated and, as a result, it's broken, I guess being a family business they have someone like me in who has been labelled the "family computer expert who knows everything", and has male-chickened it up cos they're not a software guy... Funny

Ingredients list ? Come on that's a trade secret !

If they published that it's likely some firm would just copy it.

Come to think of it can you trust a company who cannot even get their website right ?

They're butchers, not coders... Funny

@twocvbloke

The time is not far off when all those sausage making machines will go digital with software selecting the ingredients,

now consider what will happen if those coders get it wrong again.

Several Butchers in this area have closed, perhaps it another trade that is going to disappear.

Re: Wikileaks dropping the CIA in it again

My brother is having a play rearing a few animals including some pigs.

It's surprising to me anyway how many joints, chops, and sausages you get from one pig.

So many that I had a good free sample selection (and he had to get an extra chest freezer).

First effort at sausages very meaty, maybe too meaty, as they were lovely oven cooked with apple sauce.
