Problems sending to AOL addresses (54912) - UPDATE
Email
Posted on: Tuesday 27 January 2009, 16:59
There is an update to last week's post about problems you may be having sending email to AOL customers.
Earlier today most emails were being sent successfully to AOL addresses. Since then however there have been further reports of email not arriving when sent to AOL subscribers.
We have been in contact with AOL however we have yet to arrive at a satisfactory resolution. We will continue to work towards fixing the problem and will provide another update as soon as more details become available.
Sorry for the problems this is causing.
Kind Regards,

Re: Why doesn't this surprise me

AOL/carphone warehouse (who licence the AOL brand in the UK) deny everything.
Heard a lot of things about AOL and none of them good.
Used to ger a blizzard of AOL CDs in the mail (had a PC magazine sub for a while so that is how they got my address I think) till I rang up and told them to take me off their list.

Re: Why doesn't this surprise me

The easy answer is switch to AOL Cheesy
"Not bl**dy likely" came the reply.
But seriously, that doesn't surprise me in the slightest, after trying for 4 days to connect some friends to TalkTalk Broadband. Needless to say TalkTalk were blaming BT and BT were blaming TalkTalk for the router not being able to find a connection.
