Neither of those dates can match the long, hot summer of 1976 Shocked

According to this comparison 2015 was warmer than 2010.

Considering the guy who published is an anti climate change advocate, it's not surprising he's saying that Wink

And the cause of the record rain fall in December was the below normal sea temperature of the North Atlantic

The trouble is you can say exactly the same about news coming from climate change advocates.

A quick look at the Met Office webite also shows on a month-to-month basis 2015 was the warmest on record.

That is because it is based on ground stations with all the problems they have with big gaps in coverage

We're not talking about temperatures local to us surely. Most measures I have seen refer to global temperatures. NASA has only just calculated the temperatures for 2014, so how someone can take all the available data for 2015 at this stage beats me.

Re: Who was it on this forum that said...

Because that page is way out of date
GISS and HADCRUT issue their monthly figures in about the 2nd or 3rd week of the following month and the annual average is taken from those figures

Re: Who was it on this forum that said...

I don't understand why NASA is compiling copies of the same land and sea measurements as other institutes a year after they managed too and then managing somehow to fudge the compilation of the records and end up with higher figures, are they suggesting that the other instiutes are incompetent or are they just increasing the lies to further US policy of new tax modles to replace losses in revenue streams from other areas ? seems its a current global trend towards ever increasing ways to tax people to keep economies afloat instead of consolidating a position and shrinking to fit the smaller purse strings.....

You are misunderstanding the point
NASA aka GISS issue their figures when I said
The page linked to isn't the one for the current NASA numbers

Are you sure? heard a report yesterday that it was caused by a rise in sea temperatures in the Pacific (giving rise to the El-Nino phenomenon)
You pays your money and takes your choice (its worth a look to see who's paying the "scientists" and other "experts" a retainer or salary, and what those sponsors interests in global warming is)
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

the ability to create a new tax regime to shore up falling state revenue streams and create yet another "too big to fail" bond investment scam like the carbon bonds !
