I think we need to get to the bottom of who started this topic!

As for choice, it was usually The Herald but once they stopped publishing we had lower our sights to the Daily Mirror. The Manchester Guardian was a good read back in the day but those large sheets would either refuse to flush or if they did, the poop pipe (to use the technical term) would get blocked.

You were posher than us then, we had a stack of newspaper but had to tear our own off.

I think it was the Daily Express.

That picture has just reminded me why we could 'afford' IZAL loo-rolls. My dad used to maintain a couple of the higher managements cars in the day, and we got 'free samples' - in boxes of 50 Smiley . Sadly, that factory no longer exists, but even if it did, I wouldn't use the product today.
