Which laws or regulations would you get rid of?

Er! only serious answers please...
(some hope!!)
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

And Audis...
Also, whatever law that new car manufacturers have to follow which prohibits cars less than two years old from having functional indicators.

Re: Which laws or regulations would you get rid of?

One law I would like to see introduced......
Rear lights, and stop lights on buses, coaches, lorries, trailers, to be of effective/proportionate size .... and that the back of big lorries (anything bigger , and including, a Transit Luton type) should have a reflective strip at least 6 inches wide, all around the outer edge. (some do, but it is not compulsory).
It is ridiculous, to see a "Smart" car, with bigger  rear and stop lights than a 37 ton truck ....

The one that says, when I'm in a hurry, anyone in front of me must drive at least 10 mph below the speed limit.

The one that says all people over 50 must drive at 40 along the entire length of the A487, regardless of the speed limit being national, or 30.

On a slightly more serious note - all those laws that government ministers say should be ignored as they are petty.  If they're petty and unnecessary why pass them in the first place!!!!

Re: Which laws or regulations would you get rid of?

Personally I think he should stick to cheap comedy (aka "motoring journalism") so his political comments are of negligible value.
BUT I think Jeremy Clarkson accidentally hit the nail on the head in todays Sunday Times:
"How many of these laws will actually get repealed - none."
What we need first is more common sense in applying the laws we have.  Cry
