Which genealogy site to use

We have used a few in the past, find my past was one that I remember using. We are thinking about using uk census online, anybody got any experience of using uk census online or any other good sites?

Re: Which genealogy site to use

I've found more contacts using http://lostcousins.com/ than any other site. His newsletters also have a lot of useful information and tips as well as discount offers for some of the other sites.

Re: Which genealogy site to use

I use Ancestry.co.uk and host my family trees with them as well.
Maybe I'm not heavily into the exercise but it's nice to do some research from time to time
I recently cancelled Findmypast it was a duplicate of Ancestry but not as user friendly IMHO
Im not looking fo long lost cousins but have found some people with links to my trees which is a bonus Smiley
Paying Ancestry's not inconsiderable membership fee probably puts me off joining any others but i started  originally using the Latter Day Saints free website  Smiley
