Where does the time go ?

I don't understand this but since I retired 10 years ago I seem to have less time than ever to do things.
Perhaps i'm just doing things more slowly ?

Re: Where does the time go ?

I have been wondering myself how I managed to time to go to work!  The last 3yrs 9mths have flown by - had to think hard to work that out as it feels much longer in many ways.   Especially since I got my little dog as I take her out at least twice a day and she has helped me keep fit!  and like you said where does the time go as I keep thinking must sort out the spare bedroom and I have been going to do that since last Easter!! Glad it's not just me  Smiley
Mind you it's a couple of years since I was diagnosed with bladder cancer and I've had a couple of major abdominal ops so that's my excuse for not finishing the lounge  Roll eyes

Re: Where does the time go ?

I have cancelled several magazines that I used to read at work, But have spent a fortune of the Children's inheritance on some wood working machinery - Lathe, Bandsaw, Dust extractor, Bit down on my Cross Stitch, got carpal tunnel problem, but managed these Counter Tip bowls for a local Hostelry - made from a branch of a local Euclyptus

Then they said could I make one from Oak, done it due to deliver at Sat Lunch

Re: Where does the time go ?

here with the OakBowl
it has an undercut rim, so that the undesirables cant just slide out the coins.
tried a bit of pyrograhy, but the tools I was using, a modified soldering iron, would not burn the wood correctly, it kept on sliding over the grain.  So thats some more of the inheritance going on the right tool http://www.peterchild.co.uk/pyroinfo/pyinfo.htm

Love the bowls! A great balance of the random and the regular.

Re: Where does the time go ?

Still in Iceland, been here since July on a short term contract studying the cause/effect of Jökulhlaups (Lahars to some folk, or glacier bursts caused by geothermal activity), contract finished today. I’ve an option to fly back to Manchester, or stay on for a week, hire a car and see a bit more, problem with road conditions being icy the CDW seems a bit excessive.

Not very good example of a Jökulhlaup on youtube at
