Wow! it'll be a breeze!!
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.

Re: Whats happening on the afternoon of the 18th and all day on the 19th Dec

If you read the HELP at the bottom of the page, it says for the wind speed -
"Speed - This is the forecast average wind speed across the region"
So if 266mph is the average, then the gusts should be interesting !!!

I'm off to Spain on Tuesday for Christmas.  They've been having great temps in the 70°s for weeks and now it's due to turn a bit nasty.  At least there's some good wine out there to keep me going Grin

New Zealand. Small pleasure craft on trip round Bay of Island from Wiatangi. Left in brilliant calm sunshine, within the hour was being tossed around like the proverbial cork, looking out of windows couldn't see the tops of the waves around us, even the crew looked worried.

as a Student on the deck of a ferry at night in an armchair from Nice to Bastia in a Mistral, watching the stars going round the top of the mast in big circles, far worse than any of the loads of channel crossings - and thats a Mediterranean Cruise
my Son skippers the equivalent of the RNLI boat at Airlie Beach (Barrier Reef) which in the Typhoon region, Wind speeds up to 200mph last week off Iowi Jima

Yep..... same here  FORCE 12  on an aircraft carrier, when the waves were crashing over the flight deck, as she "dipped" her nose in the oggin !...
also a force 10 on an old WWII destroyer in the med.... neither were very "comfortable" for 48 hours !... try eating, sleeping., and doing your job, when the floor keeps rising 25 to 30 feet, and then dips on a crazy angle, before corkscrewing around and doing it all over again, for two days...
(no I never was seasick!)
