I was bugged by not being able to remember a friends surname recently - it troubled me for weeks! Then I remembered he shared the same surname as liz wickham (former ITV news presenter in the 80s)

On forgotten TV shows......
Anyone remember the name of this show. Probably in the 70's. I can remember the theme tune, it was a sort of jazzy up beat tune.
From what I remember it was set around the 1900's as the "hero" was a butler (I think), middle aged, moustache, who helped solve crimes.
He was always very apologetic saying things along the lines of "I'm ashamed that I can think like a criminal" or "I have a criminal mind".
