What's this?

So I was on my way to work when we had stopped at a bus interchange and there's a few office spaces in the area, one next to the bus stops.  Outside the building was a exhaust looking thing.  Does anyone know what it is?

Re: What's this?

Hello NorthEasterner,
I think you are looking at the exhaust system of a power generator for use during electrical power cuts.

Re: What's this?

Thanks for your answers, I'm guessing it was some exhaust for a generator.

Re: What's this?

An outside standby generator. I wonder if it is fitted with an oil heater? If not it might be a bit difficult to start in icy weather.
