What’s on your playlist?

I’ve been listening to the Big Pink album (do we still say ‘album’ even though it comes as a cd or downloaded file?) ‘A Brief History of Love’, ‘Sigh No More’ from Mumford & Sons and The Drums eponymous album, a lot lately but also have the following in my playlist that I use to cycle to and from work:

Four or five tracks from
Plan B
The Killers
A few from
The Clash
Joy Division
Velvet Underground
Talking Heads
Black Sabbath (Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it; ‘Fluff’ is a lovely piece of music)

One each from
Roxy Music
Jethro Tull
Canned Heat
Malcolm McLaren
The Men They Couldn’t Hang
MIA
REM
The Undertones
Athlete
Jesus and Mary Chain
The Sugarcubes (Bjork’s group)
Electric Prunes
So, what are you currently listening to?

Re: What’s on your playlist?

"Bill Bailey's Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra" on youtube. It's fantastic. Also this morning we've had the new Alestorm album and the Nightlife 5 mix from Andy C (some very dark Drum and Bass, fantastic if you like that sort of thing).

Re: What’s on your playlist?

At the moment not much but I've really got a thing for examples latest track "Changed the way you kiss me". Lyrics aren't the greatest but the tune itself is proper club stuff.
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Re: What’s on your playlist?

We’re an eclectic bunch when it comes to musical taste aren’t we?
Alanb has reminded me of Lou Reed’s  Satellite of Love; that record kept me sane whilst travelling to and around Amsterdam to play in a table tennis tournament (that’s what we called it, ’drunken brawl’ may have been closer) about 20 years ago as it was the only decent track in my mates collection of c90’s. I must get round to finding a copy. How can anyone have Right Said Fred and Nick Drake on the same cd?  Shocked

Thanks James, very much enjoyed it. Er....what's it got to do with music though? And you haven't told us what you listen to
Just in case anyone 'happens upon' this and clicks on the link....it does have a bit of strong language

Every CD should have a mandatory Nick Drake track on it. There should be a law.  Grin
