Re: What ! no school nativity plays

I heard one story of a little boy in his Nativity who was annoyed at being relegated to the innkeeper's part.
When Mary and Joseph knocked on his door he said "Yes we have plenty of rooms...and a sauna"

Remove religion from Christmas, humbug.
The spirit of Scrooge is alive and well living in a town hall near you.

Re: What ! no school nativity plays

Not everyone believes in celebrating christmas, and having beliefs that apparently originated 2 millennia ago thrust upon children in an age where science has more answers than faith in a book does, it's not exactly fair... Smiley
Personally I'd rather celebrate midwinter, simply because it signifies the days getting longer again... Grin

Christmas is a multi-billion pound industry and the Nativity is a small but important part of it.

So long as you accept a zero-hour contract doing picking & packing and have zero guarantee of work and money in order to fudge the employment figures... Wink
