I love gardens. I hate gardening. It's nature's way of using up much of the time when I could be enjoying the additional daylight and occasional good weather.

Don't do gardening.
Built a garage on half of it, and decked the rest to avoid any such nonsense.

My least favourite task is removing self seeded brambles from all the shrubs and trees.

Re: What is your 'most disliked summer garden task'

Weeding, lawn-mowing, planting...
When I was a child my granddad had a wonderful garden split into two sections; vegetables and lawn. I used to love helping him throughout the year from planting, to nurturing to picking and then, finally, eating. I tried to replicate his ideals in my own garden back in the 90's but wasn't particularly successful.
Now I don't have any interest in gardening - sometimes I wish I did as I frequently see SWMBO working hard out there but I just can't get the enthusiasm back Sad

Re: What is your 'most disliked summer garden task'

All of it - I hate all of it. Especially the missus nagging to help with it as if it's my duty to keep 'her' garden nice.
The only good thing about having a garden is the summer BBQ.
While I appreciate a nice garden, I hate doing any gardening work.
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Definitely weeding!
Find it almost impossible to kneel down these days due to having 'tin' knees.

How lucky you all are to have a garden you hate to tend to. I wish I had my own garden.
