What is this from?

I stumbled on this on google images on one of my many random image searches.

I remember seeing this years ago as a child in a film but I've no idea what it was called. All i remember is it looking like a film from the 60s - 70s.
Any ideas? I remember it being super cool with auto inflating tyres etc.
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Yep, that film stuck in my mind too! I remember seeing that at least a couple of time on TV during my childhood years in the 80s.

From what I just been reading it was two busses hooked up to look like one - they could in real life be driven seperately.
As for the real life thing, the neoplan super jumbo cruiser is the closest thing and if you look carefull in this pic, it looks like the rear wheels on the trailer turn steer:

As for single bendy busses there are some at Gatwick that take passengers round the car parks.

Re: What is this from?

Imagine those Neoplan Jumbo cruisers driving all around Newcastle it would be like 2050. The Neoplans do look like they are ageing

Re: What is this from?

and a lot less comfy than a coach!
Bus gearboxes are setup for stop / start town driving and many struggle to hit 45 / 50.
Coach gearboxes are usually designed for long journeys, motorways, and can do the full 60. They're also comfier and warmer!
I'd rather travel on an older coach thana newer bus anyday!
