What is this dish called?

Comprised of coarse minced steak (about 10mm) mixed with fine chopped onion, green and red pepper, cooked and balled into something the size of a golf ball.
Then wrapped in mash potatoes to make it the size of a tennis ball, rolled in bread crumbs and deep fried.
Finally when cooked, split into 2 half's and served with either salad or vegetables.
Swmbo cooks it, never had a name for it. Some friends stopped by for lunch and wanted to know what it was called.

I can't tell from your description.  Maybe you should send me some for me to see!  Cool
They sound very nice.  Don't think I've come across them before.

Sounds like a minced meat croquet.  Lots of variations if you search for "deep fried mince in mashed potato" in Google.

I've yet to come across a green or red bell pepper that burns...

Unless you mistook it for Chilli peppers, in which case, yeah, those would burn, but, Chilli Peppers aren't Bell peppers... Grin

Lacking heat? Just try a liberal dose of Nando's extra hot sauce! Takes the skin off the roof of your mouth!

My throat is very sensitive to anything even slightly spicy. Peppers do cause it to warm up considerably.

But bell peppers are at Zero on the Scoville heat scale, so, if you're getting anything hot from something that has no heat at all, then, you might want to hire a food-taster as someone might be trying to poison you... Grin
