What is the cheapest mobile data sim deal currently on the market

The usage will only be mainly for using checking emails /  occasionally maps, on a tablet as not to tie up the phone
Of course it could also come in handy for an emergency phone if ever the need arises
The current Vodafone sim which costs £2.00 for 50 MB & 10p per MB thereafter per day feels a tad expensive for very light to moderate usage

Re: What is the cheapest mobile data sim deal currently on the market

Going by http://www.three.co.uk/Store/Pay_As_You_Go_Price_Plans after googling Three PAYG 321
Looks like it's a strong possible no brainer Wink

That said I will await for others input before making a final decision
Next question(s) are
How does 3 fair off for coverage country wide ?? I know they claim 98% however it is the real world that counts Wink
How do they compare to others for support etc ?Huh

Re: What is the cheapest mobile data sim deal currently on the market

never had a problem in 4 years that wasn't sorted in 20 mins over the phone  with 3, as far as coverage goes, there the fastest data network around so chances are if your device is LTE ready you will get good coverage however they do have coverage maps (I need to keep the window open to use my phone because the house is lined) and there data rates are often a lot faster than others, I was getting 4Mbs on mine on a hillside in wales (which was significantly more than the 128kbps the hotel Ethernet was giving) so I can say they have coverage in plenty of places Smiley

bit misleading to say 3 charges more per meg when you already pointed out they only charge 1p per meg  which is the same price .....

Re: What is the cheapest mobile data sim deal currently on the market

you could top them both up and then use them both to see which one gives the best value for money, not sure about the mobi topups but 3's normally last indefinitely so long as you don't purchase one of the addon packs ....

Every time you topup on Three you get 150MB of data which lasts for 30 days.

Re: What is the cheapest mobile data sim deal currently on the market

Just phoned MobiData & was told it is only a rolling monthly contract, to be billed by Debit card
& no plans to make it payable via the Payment outlets like other networks
However
Good news is that the Double data offer is not expiring today, as it was such a success they have decided not to pull it down as yet & decided to carry it forward, (he did not have an end date to refer to)

Re: What is the cheapest mobile data sim deal currently on the market

Late to this, but I went for 3, for the main reason of non expiring credit. That an 1p/Mb vs 10-30p elsewhere.
I also have a couple of peoples network sims with credit on them (for free) that I will use up before enabling my sim (got a £10 pre paid off ebay for about £7)
Shutter send me a link to the other one, but when I saw the £5/month I though no way! I am still using the £10 top up on my Tesco mobile several years later.
