Re: What is the best way you have found to transfer contacts from

Never tried that way as I do find MyPhoneExplorer gives easy access to Contacts, Messages, Calandar, Call logs and files making for easy manipulation and editing.
But glad you got it sorted Smiley

If they're both Android phones then you can use MyPhoneExplorer.

I've used that for years when it was only for old Sony phones.
I use it now on my Samsung android phone. Simple enough to use for contacts and a lot more.
I wouldn't trust any online service including google.
I'm sure google would never sell all your phone numbers to advertisers.

one sim to another sim on different networks
As pet tittle
Do you import contacts from sim to phone > export to new sim
or use the phones software suite ?Huh
Or have you found a better way ?Huh

What works best for myself is using an old Nokia 1112 basic phone.
Copy original SIM Contacts to Phone, put new SIM in, Copy contacts to SIM
It is extremely fast, a matter of seconds.
But I don't think it would  work with THREE Network SIMs

As a backup, I also copy Contacts to one of those free SIMs you can get, the phone does not need an active account to transfer Contacts.
Some of my more recent phones require an active SIM to do anything !
(Apart from calling Emergency Services that is)

My tablet is not GSM enabled but I still copied all contacts to it as it is handy when out if I need someone's details.
Anyway, don't like the idea of placing an 8" tablet to my earlugs Tongue

do you remember when they were forced to change the name to portable stereo system because the "PC brigade" got upset at the reference that they were designed for denizens of poor neighbourhoods often called "ghetto's" and that such a term was impolite to the inhabitants ......

They weren't exactly built for portability. Then again, the tablets and phones of today can't dish out the bass like the old ghetto blasters could Wink

Re: What is the best way you have found to transfer contacts from

well it led to people referring to them as "wog Box" which was infinitely more derisory, and a large part of the reason they became less popular..... of course it was also around the time that those horrible tinny headphone connected personal cassette / cd players became cheap and popular ....

Using the SIM method is fine if you only want to transfer basic name and number info.
If you want to transer name, number, and all the extra info you have attached to them then you use MyPhoneExplorer.

It also makes editing contacts much easier including the addition of pictures as well as adding new alarms and ringtones.
