What did you have on your pancakes?

Shrove Tuesday today in the Adair household. As per the family tradition they were cooked by Dad.
Topping sprinkled sugar and freshly squeezed lemon juice then rolled and served.
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: What did you have on your pancakes?

Pancakes for lunch for charity in our village. One with chocolate sauce, two with lemon and a tiny sprinkle of sugar.  Kiss

Re: What did you have on your pancakes?

I just fancy doing myself some now.
I prefer raspberries but I've finished all the frozen bags of my garden ones.
So it's has to be the old favourite of sugar and lemon juice in stacks of two or three.

Golden syrup and then rolled. Why is the first one out of the pan never as good as the rest?

Cos the pan is not hot enough, or it's too hot, or the cook doesn't really know what they're doing, etc.... Grin

Nutella, cream and Bailey's. Only on thick American style pancakes though!

The same reason why that first cup of tea you have in the morning is not as good as the rest.

Re: What did you have on your pancakes?

What I would like to know is how many make their own from scratch as it's simple enough.
I could never understand the point of ready mixed packets or ready made but they do fill the supermarket shelves so they must be a good seller for some reason.

Re: What did you have on your pancakes?

What can I use the rest of the flour? I would buy a packet because I have no need for flour.
