So easy to mock,  but the point about using existing uniforms to save cost is valid.

 

I guess in space they will be using those bright white suit things with a big bubble helmet

and a life support backpack - so that bloke saying that space is black will be disappointed

because wearing a black suit in space would probably cook you from solar enegy absorbed.

Thing is, there's nobody up there in orbit to be camo'd against, so they could wear Starfleet uniforms instead... 😂

Easy to mock true, but given that the US spends around 600 billion dollars a year (and that's the amount we know of) then valid is the last thing that springs to my mind. I mean really, how much would it cost to outfit what must be at the moment are rather minuscule Space Force.

No doubt when they get proper space ships they'll come up with something dashing. 🙂

Btw, there was an interview with William Shatner in Thursday's Metro, and he's 88, nearly 89, now.
