Warning message.

I was just reading the forum and a message popped up, bottom right of screen.
It was there so briefly all I read was 'phishing application blocked...'
A little more information and a little more time to read it would have been good.
It turned out to be my Kaspersky blocking a scanner driver update to my Epson printer.
It immediately added the driver to it's trusted list and let it install.

Quite a while back, I was helping a friend sort out their Windows PC, which had suddenly stopped loading Windows.
There was a very brief message during the POST process, too quick to read.
I pointed a video camcorder at the screen, and viewing frame by frame, could read the message.
Something to do with a corrupt .dll file.
Downloaded said file from the  Internet...
Reloaded the named file, all was OK after.

Similarly, on a very early iMac, there would be a very brief intermittent on screen disturbance, Quicktime screen recording gave me a grab to show the Apple Bar "Geniuses"
They quickly diagnosed it as needing a complete clean re-install of the OS.
Worked fine after that.
