Volcano Ash Cloud - Met Office Satellite pics...

If you want to see how the volcanic ash cloud is moving.... go to the met off ice site
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/europe/volcano/iceland.html
the pic you see is the latest..... but you can go back in time, and "animate" the pic....
go back to (say) 1500 on the time scale at the top of the pic, wait for it to load, then slowly advance the time by clicking onwards...

Might have to wait until midnight because strangely the Met Office site appears
to be `down` at the moment.
At first I thought it was just Shutter`s link, so I tried my own link, only to find that
the site still wouldn`t come up.
Perhaps its all that ash.

Guess it must be serious, it's the 6th item on MSNBC tonight following the W.Virginia mine disaster and Michelle Obama's Mexican visit.  There's a suggestion that tomorrow's flights (Fri) could be cancelled and transatlantic flights may not  take off for the UK.
The last problem with this volcano caused problems for over a year we're hearing.

I'm not sure which I prefer...  (water) vapour trails from aircraft, or clouds of volcanic ash containing sulphur dioxide, abrasive particles, dense concentrations of carbon dioxide, and no doubt many other nasty things!  Crazy

Volcano's pump out more noxious substances in a couple hours than the entire human race can manage in a generation.
There are probably 20 erupting as this is typed, I'm not normally given to posting a lot of links but: http://www.volcano.si.edu/faq/index.cfm?faq=03
Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.
