Virgin Mobile Website Woes

We have been abroad now for a couple of months, and as usual we purchase and use local SIMs in our phones for calls, but usually UK SIMs for texting back home.
Prior to returning to the UK in May, I checked my Balance on the Virgin Mobile website....
A previous PAYG balance of over £100 showed as £ Zero !!
Checking the Balance  with a "Balance" text, showed the correct balance.
Finally sorted after several conversations with their CS

Re: Virgin Mobile Website Woes

yeah ive been asking them for a home booster unit for a few weeks (since builders moved the nearest mast and we no longer get a signal in the home) but they don't seem able ot understand when the mobile doesn't have a signal you cant talk to them
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

Re: Virgin Mobile Website Woes

I had a little bit of fun last night !!
I rang Virgin CS, and as usual was put through to a Foreign (Indian? ) Call Centre, posing as a new customer..
When asked for my address, I stated...
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
Which I then spelt out, a few times, and got the CS op to repeat it back to me !!
With inevitable mistakes.
From my flying days, I know the standard NATO phonetic Alphabet, which I can recite at speed.
Lima, Lima, Alpha, November ... etc
That really confused them !

Ah well, it was fun whilst it lasted !

Now that gives me an idea for any unwanted cold calls...
