Very high speed!

Whilst on Twitch last night I came across a streamer who had his internet stats in the description of his channel.
What I saw shocked me!

Granted I would be shocked as I, on my best day, average around 10mbps down and 0.7 up. but still this is amazing.
I know the question of how I could get speeds like that depends on various different factors. But lets just say for arguments sake that I met all the criteria.
How is he getting speeds like that? And how much would it cost? (nothing specific of course but just guesstimate)
(I understand the provider is Virgin, sorry about that!)

Re: Very high speed!

Virgin do up to 152Mb if you're on their fibre network which is probably what he is on!

Re: Very high speed!

I've never seen that high before. Fastest I have used is about 35mbps.
Does the cost go up the faster you want your internet? Or is that just a max estimate speed on their unlimited package?
And does PN do anything like that?
EDIT - Didn't notice your link. My bad Tongue

Virgin do up to 152Mb

1% of that would be a 50% improvement Angry

"flavour is a false positive?"
Not entirely sure, but I think you're suggesting that the Hyperoptic speed result is in some way erroneous? Have you actually looked at their products?

Re: Very high speed!

virgin's offering is great if your only using a couple of devices simultaneously but the more devices you use the more upload bandwidth you require....
hyperoptic's product would be fantastic for anyone who has fttp and lives within there limited coverage area(s) but unless BT is planning on rolling out more terabit pipelines for the backbone there's little chance they will provide services outside of central London area
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

You would think so, but no.  Only £50.

Very real, it was formed by a former ISP employee.  It's only available in a very few select areas of London though, and rolled mainly to flats.  Also they rolling out to a few other areas soon (Bristol, Cardiff and Reading).
