Ah, but is it dead or alive. 🤔

There is a song about that......

Tamara "Un Gato en la Oscuridad"

  (translated as...> " A cat in the dark "   )

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37y8cHVYW5g

Or .... same song   different translation....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rCA4AW2eoM

TAMARA "EL GATO QUE ESTÁ TRISTE Y AZUL"

( translates as " the cat that is sad and blue" )

Can you imagine that kind of song being so successful, in the U.K. pop charts  ? ? ? ! ! !   ? ? ? ?

You ask that when we've had 💩 like Agadoo, Grandpa, Combined Harvester, etc. at No. 1!

No, we may not have songs about sad and blue cats in the dark but who could forget The Chicken Song (number one for three weeks in May 1986) with lines like, "Form a string quartet and pretend your name is Keith, skin yourself alive, learn to speak Arapahoe, climb inside a dog and behead an Eskimo"?

Re: Useless information - part three

Never liked that song really, though I read on the news Spitting Image is supposed to be making a comeback? Can't remember where now, but I think I read that but it was on a reputiable news site.

If that is true, I look forward to watching it. I liked it when it was on.

Better than most of the things on TV now, which isn't saying much.

I'm not sure we were supposed to like it; skinning oneself alive, climbing inside dogs, and beheading Eskimos isn't most people's idea of fun.

In the spirit of the programme- parody and satire - it was making the point that, given enough airplay, the great British public will buy any old rubbish, often enough to make it No 1.

The lyrics were by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, of Red Dwarf fame.

Like Mr Blobby whose hit is described in Wikipedia as, "... regarded by many as the worst single, and indeed, song, of all time."
