All the more reason no to renew their operating license. Imagine the financial effect they have had on local Black Cabs and Private Hire can't have been good for their pockets.

Uber only prospers because it ignores inconvenient rules which apply to the rest of businesses. Rules such as pensions, holiday pay, data protection, fair share of corporation tax.
