UK citizens in violation of privacy laws.

Hi All
Well the British Government is ignoring the privacy laws for British citizens.
From the Inquirer: Secret pact allows the US to spy on UK motorists.
Quote
THE UK Home Secretary secretively signed a "special certificate" last year that gives foreign security agencies real-time access to traffic camera images and related data monitoring British motorists on highways throughout the UK.
Opposition politicians and civil liberties advocates yesterday accused Gordon Brown's government of attempting to hide from Parliament its covert plans to facilitate international surveillance of UK citizens in violation of privacy laws.

Watt is the Government going to do next?    Angry

Kinda funny that only yesterday there was the story about somebody getting in trouble for legally and innocently taking photographs, yet the HM Gov is able to wathc *us* whereever we go.
Just typical!

Re: UK citizens in violation of privacy laws.

Just remember - the ones in positions of power are usually suffering from delusions of grandeur - and consider themselves well and truly above the law - as shown in many recent incidents - and, have you noticed, they (and especially their leader) are never "in the wrong"?  Have you also noticed the times that that Leader states that he has had "a vision" about what to do?  Many years ago such people were put into "Bedlam".

Re: UK citizens in violation of privacy laws.

Hi All
Well I asked watt next, well it is not the Government this time, it is the Carphone Warehouse.
From The Inquirer: Carphone Warehouse dumps personal data in street.
Quote
THE supplier of mobile phones to the Queen has been dumping punters' personal data in a very public recycling bin because it is too expensive to keep.
