UK Maps

These may be of use to you.
I checked http://www.raintoday.co.uk/ for Rain & Snow, and there wasn't any displayed, so I downloaded maps for myself.

Re: UK Maps

I find this to be a good site for weather forecasts. (It's in Norwegian by default but the language can be changed to English and UK locations can be selected).
http://www.yr.no/
For where the rain has recently been (which is just a guide to where it will be next) there is

Re: UK Maps

I use the Norwegian one all the time, I have it set-up so that with one click on my menu bar, I get an instant 2 day forecast, which I find very accurate for my location, apart from the temperatures which are usually a few degrees warmer than specified.
The Rain one is new to me, very pretty !

Re: UK Maps

Several UK major organisations use www.yr.no for weather forecasts.
I know Tesco's do for BBQ planning. Several Councils for the planning grit spreading. The National Park visitor centres (Yorkshire Dales, PDNPA, Lake District NPA) for weather forecasts for visitors.
Just don’t know why the Met Office cannot get its act together.
