This really boosts my confidence in the accuracy of cable.co.uk surveys.  Crazy
Now Zen, but a +Net residue.

Re: UK ISP Plusnet Comes Top in Cable’s New Broadband Awards 2015

Maybe they could introduce a new category for 'Best New Billing System' so that Plusnet can win an extra award in 2016 2025  Lips are sealed

Plusnet's ratings used to be comparable to Zen - now look!

Be interesting to know how they get this information, how many users do they contact, in what areas, etc, etc.
Quite likely PN would still come out on top but as others have stated the rest must be really bad.

Re: UK ISP Plusnet Comes Top in Cable’s New Broadband Awards 2015

perhaps they come up with those categories rather than on the number of customers that the company has who respond positively/negatively to surveys by some division of the number of consumers and the number that feel the need to make a complaint, complaints are often a vocal minority group, we here on the forum often deride the company for its recent changes that have lead to as we perceive them quite serious problems, but at the same time they have several million customers that don't complain, or post positive reviews.
we all know full well that should just 1/3rd of the number of consumers attempt to contact the company at the same time the length of delays would move from hours to weeks, we all know that the ticket system worked albeit somewhat slowly (surely a simple tweak to change the order of the list seen by csr's from last touched to most recently responded to would of fixed that problem for existing tickets) we know that the 24 hr phone line worked well (and the new limited hours version fails abysmally) we are aware that the online chat feature rarely works as intended, but ask yourself is their product package any worse than those of competitors, BT has foreign call centres with page flippers who go through the exact same thing every time you speak to them and due to the language barrier rarely understand anything not on the flip cards (in years gone by you could hear them flipping the pages) and the chances are a bb fault report will see you receive a dozen free routers before they finally do the thing requested to fix the problem (send an engineer out), talktalk fails abysmally at everything, I'm slightly surprised that sky and virgin don't score better but perhaps they use a different metric to that generated by Ofcom to determine the outcome for the awards.
however my supply from plusnet is cheaper than a comparable product form a competitor, its more stable than any other supplier has managed to provide in the past and because unlike some others they acknowledge their supplied router is not up to the job they let me use any product that works again unlike some other isp's, they also don't prevent us from posting about which router works well and giving each other advice (user to user) about setup or troubleshooting again unlike some other isp's that actively delete all such threads and then ban users for discussing unsupported product use .....
all of those things make plusnet a better company (long may it continue) and a worse company (cutbacks in support) than in previous years, so while we might in our little bubble view them as a failing company far more customers have zero knowledge of the problems and as such cant give them enough praise/
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

Be interesting to know how they get this information,

If you are talking about cable.co.uk remember they are a comparison site that will be getting referral fees for all users who sign up to Plusnet as a result visiting their site. Just saying...
