Turkey cooking times...

Usually I go by the 20 minutes per pound + 20 minutes rule.
SWMBO just bought the turkey label in. For a 4.6kg cooking time is 3 hours and 2 minutes Cheesy

Re: Turkey cooking times...

Just the 4 of us so I got a decent sized chicken instead of a turkey so I can enjoy a lay-in in the morning.
Stout's OK but I've treated myself to some Harviestoun 'Old Engine Oil, Engineer's Reserve' for Christmas.: http://harviestoun.com/our-beers/engineers-reserve and I'm just now drinking to (all of) your health.

I drink just about anything.
I know I'll be getting Cider, Guinness, Southern Comfort, possibly Whisky and whatever else the family finds to stock me up for the next year  Grin

Re: Turkey cooking times...

Don't forget to weigh the turkey including all the stuffing etc as it all counts towards the cooking time I believe (SWMBO would know)

Thats nothing. On the radio years ago one woman took her turkey back to the supermarket saying that after 6 hours in the oven it still wouldn't cook  Grin

According to European legislation you now have to cook your turkey by the kilogram, don't you?
