True Blue is the Colour

Blue-Passports.jpg

All passports issued from mid-2020 onwards will definitely be blue, the Home Office confirmed.

I don't see why they don't use the patriotic colours of the flag... would be rather novel wouldn't it.

I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

Re: True Blue is the Colour

Rats, I had to renew my passport two years ago.

Costing near my age, I don't see myself ever buying another one that's for sure. Maybe I should buy Madonna's True Blue album instead and just drown my sorrows by listening to it.

@7up

What, red white and blue?

The French would just love that! 😂

We could do it like the Union Jack with the crosses just to annoy the French and others. Or you could just buy a Union Jack passport holder .

I am pleased to say that my beautiful 50 page burgundy passport doesn’t expire until the end of 2029. 😀

Yes but you only have months left before we are officially out....before that date you could easily move to the EU....but after that date irrespective of passport it will be more difficult......

We are already ‘officially’ out, @gleneagles. Maybe you missed it, but we left at 2300 UTC on 31 January. I will be staying where I am, but thank you for your concern.

Fortunately my sickly burgundy toy-town passport has already expired, but there's no immediate rush to replace it so I can happily wait for the easier-on-the-eye blue British Passport to become the norm later this year.

Just be careful not to wet yourself with the jingoistic excitement when you use it @RobPN

Perhaps you could lend me a Tena Lady from your bag, just in case.

Re: True Blue is the Colour

I think the process for renewing after expiry is slightly more involved (signatures on the back of photos etc.)

I personally like the bit where you have to state that you haven't renounced your British citizenship.  If you had, why would you be applying for a British passport?

@RobPN

I’m sure your usual attire will suffice

I'm unfamiliar with that product also, but if you've found them to be more effective than what I suggested, I'll take your word for it.
