Re: Tour de France 2014 - starting in Leeds

Lot of coverage on BBC Look East about stage starting Cambridge and finishing at Buck House.
SWMBO's cousin's husband, a mere 75 year old, is still a keen cyclist and they live  in Harrogate so he'll be there. Recently bought a £2k+ bike and his son bought a £3k+ one.
I also note it passes  through Huddersfield where our daughter lives. Having dragged SWMBO to see various stages in France I'll have to start building up courage  Wink

It's the northern, hilly, stages that are interesting.
East Anglia is rather flat.
Still, I bet Boris bid for London - bit of a waste of money.

They seem to be going an awfully long way to get from Leeds to Harrogate.

Be rather a short boring stage if they went straight up the main road, James  Roll eyes
