Top 5O Crazy Concepts

Quote
Ever wondered what we'll be driving in the next 50 years? Well, concept cars can give the best way of hinting what the future may hold. Unfortunately, they're more design study rather than showroom-ready cars, but all provide a glimpse of styling features that may appear on their cars over the coming years and show what goes on inside the head of some designers who've been given a blank canvas

Few concept cars encapsulated the jet age better than Ford's FX-Atmos, which was unveiled to gasps of awe at the 1954 Chicago motor show. If you were a Jetsons wannabe, the FX-Atmos would have been just perfect.

Shown at the 1999 Tokyo motor show, and a cross between an armoured car and a supermarket trolley, the Fuya-Jo featured a minimal glasshouse plus wheels that looked as though they'd been stolen from a Lego set.

It's not clear whether the time ran out or the money, but Ghia managed to design just half a car with the Action. Having got off to a great start at the front, the company got as far as the B-pillars then called time on the project.
