Tom? Where am I?

If you have a Tomtom sat nav that you've not used for a few days today might be a good day to try it out.
Yesterday I used mine and ended up "waiting for valid GPS signal" for the entire trip - I ended up navigating the old fashioned way - following signs and asking for directions.
Turns out I'm not the only one - the devices have been hit by a leap year bug and they've just released an update for it (doesn't seem to have worked on mine though).
Some linkies:

I pretty much wanted to throw mine in the bin yesterday and today the update seems to be useless where it can usually get a signal but I'll take it out in the car later for the ultimate test.
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!
