Tom Watson

Tom Watson has resigned as deputy leader of the Labour Party.

I wonder if the plan is to let Labour take a massive loss of seats in the GE and the end of Corbyn, reboot the Labour party with more moderate elements headed by Watson ?

Any thoughts ?

Re: Tom Watson

My guess is that Watson wants to distance himself from the inevitable train wreck that Labour will suffer this election, they are neither fish nor fowl and they will get punished for their spoiling tactics over Brexit - it will not be a pretty sight.....

Re: Tom Watson

Ian Austin has just been on the BBC. He has rsigned from Labour party and tellng everyone that JC should never be allowed to be PM and that they should all vote Boris. He said the Labour Party is nothing like what it was and is now an extremist party. 🙄

Re: Tom Watson

With @TTman's post in mind I checked the BBC and watched a clip of the interview, all I can say is OUCH!

Re: Tom Watson

Whatever his game plan (and politicians can be extremely devious) I cannot see any personal qualities in Watson's character that people would want to vote for. Trying to make a name for yourself with single issues seldom works but I admit that Andy Burnham is an exception and would not be surprised to see him return as an MP in the future.

Re: Tom Watson

Yes a double OUCH

He will not stand at the December Election I think this may be something to do with the Carl Beech scandal he has quit before he was pushed.

Lets just hope Jeremy Corbyn's right hand person Diane Abbott quits as well

Re: Tom Watson

Watson is also standing down as an MP before the election, so just another one jumping before he was booted out by his constituents over 60% of which voted to leave the EU. The guy himself as well as being an arch opportunist was also a remainer.

Fat maggots the lot of 'em although to be fair, this one had lost a lot of weight. 😛

".... right hand person" ?

Oh how we are obliged to mangle our muttering but yes, the lady is a one woman disaster zone every times she opens her gob. No wonder they keep her out of sight as right there, she's a prime example of the two faced old pals network Socialist style.

Hypocrisy to the Left of us, hypocrisy to the Right of us.

Look like linseed oil is set to reform things, so MPs will not be able to foil government plans like the free for all under the poison dwarf.. Maybe Labour MPs have got wind of this and realise the game is up for their shenanigans.

Abbot could probably just about manage this (almost) namesake, although the numbers at the bottom might confuse her;  😉

Re: Tom Watson

Littlejohn's article in todays Daily Mail is quite good as normal

Another reason Tom Watson is keeping quite is that he may have been promised a Lordship
