Time to Change

it's that time of year again. We have to remeber to put our clocks back one hour on Sunday morning.

I hate losing the light evenings Sad

Re: Time to Change

It's a right pain in the ......

Not too bad if it's a clock along with a watch but for many older items such as cooker, microwave, etc it's just a hassel.

Imagine if you worked in a clock or watch shop.

What's the betting someone will forget to do it.

Re: Time to Change

For our electricity we are on a reduced overnight tariff so that our water heater costs us that bit less to use.

It switches to cheap rate (with a clunk) from around midnight until just before nine the following morning so what I have done and to save having to reset the timer on the water heater, the time slot is reduced so that whichever way the clocks goes it does not use electricity at the higher rate.

It does mean of course that for half of the year the clock on the timer is an hour out, but as it's inside the airing cupboard.......

Re: Time to Change

You have to hand it to the guys on this forum, give them an excuse for taking time out to post a pun and it all goes like clockwork. It is all quite alarming. Watch this space...

Experience; is something you gain, just after you needed it most.

When faced with two choices, simply toss a coin. It works not because it settles the question for you. But because in that brief moment while the coin is in the air. You suddenly know what you are hoping for.
